WHERE: I worked from home, took the dog for a walk, and had a virtual meeting in the afternoon.
WHY: It was the first day of fall but also got up to 90 degrees, so easy, comfortable, and cool were key components.
WHERE: I had a coffee meeting in WIlliamsburg in the morning and worked from home the rest of the day.
WHY: The second day of fall was much cooler so I was able to go with long sleeves that were rolled down to start the day. But as the sun got stronger the temps got higher and so did those sleeves. But it was still a versatile option for the fluctuating temperatures so common this time of year. I also continue to love my Modern Picnic luncher, using it as a handbag constantly.
WHERE: I had errands to run in Manhattan in the morning and then lunch with a friend who had just arrived in town and was staying with us.
WHY: It was another coolish but very sunny day, so the more you moved around the warmer it started to feel. This look was very easy breezy, making it perfect for running around the city all day.
WHAT: Paris Texas Boots, LOFT Skirt (old), Uniqlo Top (old) similar here, Anthropologie Clutch, Missoma London Coin Necklace, Missoma London Horn Necklace, Monica Vinader Bracelet, & Other Stories Earrings
WHERE: I went to an event at the Kendra Scott store in Soho.
WHY: I had been eyeing these boots for over a year and finally decided to make the investment. They arrived Wednesday afternoon and I wore them out that night to an event in Soho. I kept the shirt I was wearing all day and swapped out pants for a skirt and was ready to go!
WHERE: I went to a feminist art exhibit event at a gallery in Manhattan, and then a late dinner at DUMBO House.
WHY: It's finally cool enough at night to need a blazer. I've had this classic black Theory blazer for several years now and it never goes out of style. I paired that classic piece with a trendy pair of pants from Zara, snakeskin pumps and my trusty black STAUD Moreau bag.
WHERE: I spent the day working from home along with my friend who was staying with us. We also took the dogs for a couple walks and did some shopping on a coffee run in the afternoon.
WHY: It was a perfect early fall day with no humidity and highs in the low to mid 70s--perfect for jeans and an easy button-down shirt. This could easily be my everyday uniform!
WHERE: Went to this cute pup's Barkday Party at Pig Beach in Brooklyn just before noon and ended up staying into the evening.
WHY: Yeah, so this picture is so bad because we were too busy having a really fun Saturday that I completely forgot to get an appropriate OOTD shot. It wasn't until we were leaving the bar hours later that I realized we needed to at least get something. I guess that is the mark of a really fun day! It was bright and sunny when we arrived at Pig Beach around 11:30 in the morning, so I threw on my favorite summer hat. Though it wasn't quite needed by the time we actually left about nine hours later. But I was so afraid I was going to lose it so I kept it on the entire time. Sometimes you've just gotta do what you've gotta do.
WHAT: J. Crew Top (sold out), J. Crew Pants (old), Sam Edelman Sandals (old), Janessa Leone Hat
WHERE: A quiet Sunday spent at home and included a long walk with the dogs.
WHY: After a very long day on Saturday we kept things simple on Sunday and stayed close to home. But we did take the dogs on a long walk which was a lot of fun. We had my friend Sam and her labradoodle, Poppy staying with us all week and the dogs loved walking together. They were also really good at dealing with impromptu photoshoots along the way!
