WHERE: Working from home and taking Oxford to the vet.
WHY: The weather was finally cooperating and the the humidity has lowered drastically! So, I was finally able to wear a pair of jeans without feeling like I was melting. I paired it with a simple striped tee for a day of working from home. I also took a break mid-day to take the dog to the vet.
WHERE: Worked from home and then celebrated National Mai Tai Day with a complimentary blowout at DryBar.
WHY: I spent most of the day working from home, and I got to wear jeans again because the weather continued to be mild with no humidity. In the evening I attended an event at DryBar to celebrate National Mai Tai Day so I added a pair of block heeled sandals after wearing flats all day.
WHERE: Working from home before heading into Manhattan for an afternoon meeting and errands.
WHY: I had a cute dress all picked out for this day but then mother nature had other ideas. It rained most of the day and a summer dress just wasn't practical. So, I opted for wide leg pants in a dark print and a black t-shirt in case I got caught in a downpour. I originally went for a white tee but didn't want to take the chance it might look like I entered a wet t-shirt contest, so swapped it out for black at the last minute.
WHERE: Date night to a Broadway show.
WHY: Marc and I had a very special date night! After finally reading all of the Harry Potter books over the last year we decided to cap off the entire experience with the Broadway show. I wore this Veronica Beard dress that I rented via Rent the Runway and absolutely loved it. I also brought along a sweater (not pictured) because theatres tend to be freezing and this was no exception! But we loved the show and highly recommend!
WHERE: Working from home, including a webinar and virtual meeting.
WHY: It was the Friday before a long holiday weekend and since I was working from home I decided casual was the way to go. I did have a video meeting in the afternoon so made sure I still looked professional from the waist up with this striped blouse.
WHERE: Relaxing around the apartment and taking the dog for a long walk.
WHY: The weather got warmer and stickier as the long holiday weekend began so the sundress choice was clear. And because we took Oxford for a long afternoon walk I made sure to wear a hat to protect my face from the sun.
WHERE: We took the dog for dinner at a casual outdoor BBQ spot near our apartment.
WHY: I changed out of the sundress and into jeans for a casual dinner out with Marc and Oxford. We sat outside at Pig Beach in Brooklyn and enjoyed some great food and a glass of wine. Meanwhile, Oxford was a hit and everyone had to stop by to pet him and say hello.
WHERE: A quiet Sunday at home that included a six-mile dog walk in the afternoon.
WHY: The weather was still cooperating on Sunday so we took advantage with a very long dog walk around Prospect Park.
